Made from injection molded rubber these tips were designed in accordance to the Society Marshal rules for a Low Profile Thrusting Tip. The tip measures 1 1/2 inches across the face and compresses at least 1/2 an inch. The tips come in natural rubber black. Domestic.
"Low Profile Thrusting Tips are the same diameter as the sword they are mounted on. They must be constructed of at least 1 1/4 inches (33mm)of closed-cell foam (although at least 1 1/2 inches (38mm) is recommended). The thrusting tip will be securely attached with at least 1/2 inch (12.5mm) of progressive give across the face of the thrusting tip without allowing contact with the rigid tip of the weapon....This type of trusting tip may be only used for single-handed weapons and it must be marked with contrasting tape." -Marshals Standards as they are published on SCA.org
